We are currently reviewing our appointment system. As part of this review we will be trialling a new urgent same day triage system from Monday, June 10, 2019.
The new system will allow more patients’ access to Doctors’ Consultations, whilst also allowing Doctors to prioritise patients based on their medical needs
Patients will no longer be able to book same day face to face appointments; instead you will book a telephone consultation with a Doctor or Nurse, depending on your medical need.
The clinician will call you back in due cause and assess your medical needs over the phone, they will recommend over the counter (OTC) options, prescribe where appropriate or if the clinician feels you need to come in to be seen for further investigation they will book you an appointment for later in the day
This new telephone triage system, will double the availability to patients for medical advice and treatment with a Doctor or Nurse
